Mike Rann was Premier of South Australia for almost a decade and served as a senior Minister in a range of portfolios. Following a highly successful political career he was appointed as Australia’s Ambassador to two G7 nations; as a Governor of the Commonwealth Secretariat and Permanent Rep to three UN agencies. Mike has an extraordinary international network in business and politics spanning a range of sectors including renewable energy, mining and resources; infrastructure and urban planning, defence and education. He is a former Co-Chair of the Australia-Canada Economic Leadership Forum and currently co-chairs the UK-Italy bilateral dialogue ‘Conversazioni”. As one of the world’s first climate change ministers he led the transformation of South Australia’s energy sector. As a result he was appointed by Tony Blair to the International Leadership Council of the UK based Climate Group and is now a member of its UK, US and Global boards. Mike is based in London.
